Titan Wars File-012 Entry: SPHINX (Felis margarita titanus-The Titanic Pearl Cat) Stats: Titan Group-Mutation (Neutral) ATS Danger Level-Beta (Yellow Threat) Date of Discovery- June 4, 2007 Location of Origin: The Al-Fayyum Oasis, Egypt Size: Height: 25meters (75feet) at shoulders Length: 40meters (120feet) Weight: 8,000 tons Biology: Sphinx is another Mutation classed Titan, but unlike most of the Mutation class Titans, was not spawned from the SS. Lokiberg spill. In fact, Sphinx was spawned by an unknown underground nuclear blast that was caused by the French government in the late 90s. Even though the French deny this claim, Sphinx does have some traces of radiation in its fur. Due to the mutation, the sand cat grew in enormous size and dexterity. Even though Sphinx doesnt have any extremely unique offensive capabilities, Sphinx does in fact have an interesting defense. In her fur, Sphinx seems to collect sand particles, which seems to for a sort of light armor around the animal, increasing its defensive capacities towards military fire. Also, Sphinx is a fast predator and has been known to run at around 90mph and due to its agility, is very hard to get a hit on to the graceful cat. Also, reports suggest that she may even be able to have the ability to burrow into loose sand, which helps her with her ambush attacks and keeps her cool from the midday sun of the Sahara. She is more active at night and has amazing Sphinxs diet is mostly carnivorous and eats mostly camels and other large desert game. History: Sphinxs history starts with the secret underground nuclear test in the Sahara when the French decided to test some of their atomic weapons in the wastelands. Sphinx was caught in the blast and over time, she began to meto-evolve* into her Titan form. She keeps hidden from the world till 2007, when ATS was sent to her territory to investigate a mysterious caravan attack. Thats when they found her lair and lured the curious cat into the open. But, plans to destroy back fired and in the ATS retreat, they lured the giant kitty into the sleepy city of Cairo. Here, Cairos newest hero, Pharaoh battled Sphinx into a draw and the cat retreated into the night sands of the African deserts. Since then, Sphinx has kept to herself and rarely makes Titan contact. During the Exodus, she was briefly controlled by the Extraterrestrials, but was cured by the combined efforts of Nano and Tyrannus. After that, she returned to hiding, being the shy titan that she is. Sphinx was eventually killed by the murderous predatory titans known as Baddrok during the Revelations era of the Titan Wars. Personality: Sphinx, unlike most of her Titan brothers and sisters, is a very shy and reclusive titan. Her forage through Cairo taught her quickly to leave humans alone and stay away from the modern world. She made few allies, but seems to have a bond with Tyrannus and battled along side the Leviathan and Nano when battling the alien invasion force. Powers/Abilities: *Can run up to 90mph *Extremely agility *Collects sand in fur to create a light armor that is resistant to most conventional weapons. *Good night vision Weakness: Can swim, but not very well and if stopped at top speed, it could crash and serious hurt itself.
*Meto-Evolve is a term used to describe Mutation Titans that have evolved rapidly in a short time-span from a mutation of its DNA.
Hmmm good question.. but by comparison, a shield liger is a mere 9 meters tall, and it can run at well over 160 mph When you get up to that scale it's kinda hard -not- to go fast.
Yeah....but i mean, big things don't run normal that fast. Like elephants (well..they can go 17mph) but wouldn't a biological animal have the same speed mechanics of an elephant. I mean, most big cats are actually super fast in the first place.
Well exactly, if an animal was really that big, it'd have trouble even standing, but obviously for the purpose of kaiju adventures, we overlook that... so then you have to keep in mind that.. well, if it's RUNNING.. really running.. then it's going, let's say, at least three body lengths per second (if not a lot more) you've said she's 120 feet long, so that's 360 feet per second.. which is 21600 feet per minute, 1296000 feet per hour, or about 245 miles per hour. Just imagine her running, and think "how long does it take her to pass her own body-length?" and then whatever you're comfortable with, do the math!

90 mph isn't that fast though, for a cat that big... depending on just how realistic your physics are.. XD
Well..what would it be then?
